“You are one in a million,“ it’s what people typically say, but you are actually one in billions, even trillions. Of all the many people born before you, those born after you, and those yet to be born, there’s only one of you. Search the birth records and you will find people with your name, yes. Study blood samples and you will find people with your blood type, yes. Share ideas and you will find people with similar values as yours, yes. But, none has your finger prints, none has your DNA or your brain. That’s not only special, that is God’s flawlessness and precision. Who else could make you one of a kind? Not even the same as your twin…if you have one.
This new year, plan to be just that, your unique self. You don’t have try to look like others. You don’t have to try to be like others. Just be you…as long as you are living by God’s rules. He gave you one heart, one brain, one mind, one body, one soul.
One is a special number to Him because one is synonymous to only. There is only you. He sent his only son Jesus, to be your only Savior, your only way to salvation. One is the number of identity… Jesus and the Father are one. One is the number of unity…therefore, unite in love and harmony with your brothers and sisters.
One is the precursor for all other positive numbers…being the identifier of the first tangible thing. Since there is only one of you, God wants to begin something new in you. If you understand more and more what one in a million means, you will never underestimate the value of one, or the value of yourself. As much as it is singular, it is powerful. Although there is only one of you, there is more within you than you can ever imagine. One bag of candy has many pieces. One brain has many functions. One tree bear many fruits. It only takes one vaccine to save a dying man. It only takes one smile to uplift a heart. It only takes one death on the cross to save a dying world. One of you is enough to start a revolution in your corner of the world.
Without over thinking it too much, all it takes in this world is one great moment. Each of these great moments will build our world. One good deed plants numerous seeds. One sun brightens the world. He made one of you, because there is something for you to do that only you can do. So…you are definitely not number one in everything or in many things for that matter. But…always remember, in God’s eyes you are His number one priority, and your salvation is His number one goal.
Don’t be discouraged if things are not working your way. As long as God’s in control, He is not just one step ahead of but many centuries ahead.
Live one day at a time.
Make careful decisions because, one thing leads to another.
Don’t devalue simple things, because one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
Once in a while, stop, slow down or just sit quietly.
Accept that tragedy, disappointment and heartache is just one of those things in life we have to deal with.
Be hopeful, because one of these days, it will all be over.
One way or another, God will work things out for you. He doesn’t miss one iota of detail in your life. In 2017, He already has it planned out for you, I pray that you will submit. God wants you to be the one He created you to be, because you are one in a million.
Luke 12: 7, “But, even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.”
